How your firm's files are kept

A law firm's files are the firm's. Opus Juris is built so that they stay that way.

Your documents stay in your firm's own storage

Each firm's documents live in storage set up for that firm alone. The app opens the files of the matter you are working on and nothing else. No other firm's users can reach your files, and no one at Opus Juris, LLC works inside your documents.

Every user is known

Each person signs in with the firm's code, their firm email and a password. Accounts are created by invitation from the firm's administrator, who decides which users have which roles and which matters each user can open. Actions in the app are logged for the firm.

No credentials on the desk

The desktop app carries no keys to the services behind it. Every request goes through servers set up for your firm, which check who is asking before anything is read or written. A stolen laptop does not carry a key to your files.

Encrypted connections

Everything between the app and the services behind it travels over encrypted connections, and the app only trusts the certificates it expects.

AI and your documents

When a draft or a document is sent to an AI model, it is used to produce your result and for nothing else. Your documents are not used to train models.

When you leave

Your data belongs to your firm. If you stop using Opus Juris, your documents remain in your firm's storage, and we remove the account data we hold for your firm on request.
